About the Team

We are building a large, proprietary hedge fund where technology is the core advantage. The goal is to remove legacy constraints and rethink financial market forecasting using modern systems, new hardware paradigms, and frontier AI. The fund operates tightly with an internal AI Research Lab; together we design and own the full stack: from research ideas to production trading systems.

About the Role

As CTO, you own the technical foundation of the fund and lead three core directions:

Design and operate ultra-low-latency, reliable trading systems across crypto and traditional markets: market data, execution, risk, monitoring, and post-trade analytics.

Build infrastructure for training, fine-tuning, and scaling large ML models (time series, multimodal, decision-making systems), including distributed training, inference at scale, and tight integration with research workflows.

Lead the software layer for non-standard and emerging hardware: compilers, runtimes, MLIR/LLVM-based stacks, and performance-critical systems enabling new compute primitives.

This role sits at the frontier of systems engineering, quantitative finance, and applied AI. The problem space is open-ended, fast-moving, and directly tied to P&L.

You might thrive in this role if you have

3+ years of experience as a CTO or equivalent senior technical leadership role

Proven experience building and operating trading infrastructure in crypto and traditional markets

Strong understanding of ML models, training/inference pipelines, and core MLOps

Deep systems background: distributed systems, low-latency networking, performance optimization

Experience with large-scale compute (cloud and on-prem), GPUs/accelerators, and cost-aware scaling

Familiarity with compilers, runtimes, or hardware-adjacent software is a strong plus

Track record of building and leading senior engineering teams

Comfort operating in ambiguity, setting technical direction, and making irreversible decisions
