Launch of ShopSite Manager v3 Marks ICentral's Commitment to a Channel Sales Strategy

ICentral, Inc., a developer of electronic commerce software for the Internet since 1995, today announced the launch of its "ShopSite Savvy" value-added reseller (VAR) program. At the same time, ICentral released ShopSite Manager v3, the company's first portable version of its successful electronic commerce application.

Previous versions of ShopSite Manager had to be hosted on ICentral's server. The new software can be hosted on any NCSA-compatible web server like Apache. ShopSite Manger v3 is a secure, online catalog creation and management application, fully integrated with a shopping basket function, priced below $500. It includes tools for site creation and management, handling online order fulfillment, gathering and reporting sales and traffic statistics, and handling secure encrypted transactions.

With the launch of ShopSite Manager v3, ICentral is actively recruiting web designers and hosting providers who want to reach small- to medium-sized businesses with a competitive, profitable offering. "ShopSite is enabling us to reach a much broader market than we could reach with the set of web tools we had been using," said Matthew Jones, president of NetFIRE a ShopSite Savvy channel partner located in Orem, Utah. NetFIRE specializes in the creation and hosting of high end web sites.

Qualified Savvy resellers receive a significant discount off ShopSite Manger's list price of $995.
